He married Inez Pink in 1929, and the couple raised two sons. Myers' primary philanthropic interest was aging and the elderly. He was instrumental in facilitating the move of the Jewish Orthodox Home for the Aged from the Glenville neighborhood to Beachwood, Ohio. He also assisted in the construction of R.H. Myers Apartments, an independent living facility for the elderly.
